From the earliest days of colonial settlement to today, people from around the globe have come to Virginia to make this place their home. We the People explores the diversity of the immigrant experience and the profound impact immigrants have had on Virginia’s history and identity. Throughout the centuries, immigrants have shaped the culture, driven the economy, and connected Virginia to the world, while also defining the nature of citizenship and what it means to be a Virginian.

This traveling exhibition will consist of 10 double-sided retractable banner units. A version of the exhibition will also be available as free-standing double-sided panels.
