Spring Break at the Museum

Kick those cold weather blues to the curb and join us for Spring Break activities for students of all ages.

Do your kids love history? Are you looking to get the family out of the house during Spring Break afternoons? The Virginia Museum of History & Culture invites you to learn about our shared past. Come visit the History Lab where we’ll have crafts, replica artifacts, and fun games. 

Activities will span all ages inviting young scholars to examine

  • Native American tools,

  • old manuscripts,

  • maps,

  • photographs, and

  • other materials to better understand the past and present.

Scavenger hunts will be available to take into The Story of Virginia exhibition so that students can become history detectives and unlock the secrets of the past to win a special prize. 

All programs are included with suggested admission and no registration is required. This is a drop-in program, so there is no specific program schedule. See you over Spring Break!
