Virginia History Day Research Workshop

Saturday, December 7, 10:00am2:00pm
Free
Location:
Virginia Museum of History & Culture
Part of the Virginia History Day category.
Part of the program.

Two students look at an exhibition wall with information about Pocahontas and Jamestown.

Students and teachers are invited to learn more about Virginia History Day research opportunities and resources at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture.

Sam Florer, Virginia History Day Coordinator, and staff librarians will answer questions about researching at the museum. They will show how to use the museum’s collection database to request manuscripts and books. Our staff will also highlight how to research specific topics related to this year’s theme, Breaking Barriers in History. The first eight participants to arrive will receive a free tri-fold poster board for use in the exhibits category.

This is a free event and no pre-registration is necessary. Contact Sam Florer, Virginia History Day Coordinator, at sflorer@VirginiaHistory.org with any questions.
