Digging into Virginia’s Past: Archaeology in the Old Dominion

This program explores the science and methods of archaeology and the role it plays in our understanding of history.   Archaeological sites related to Virginia’s Native American, colonial, and Civil War past will be examined, giving context to the lives of people like Captain John Smith, Pocahontas, and George Washington as well as the less famous Virginians who made history.
