Our day in Washington, D.C., begins at the Supreme Court of the United States to learn about its judicial functions, the history of the building, and the architecture of the courtroom. You will be able to explore the rich history of the court through a courtroom lecture, a variety of exhibitions, and a visitor film. After our lunch at the Supreme Court’s cafeteria, we will take a guided walking tour of the historic Thomas Jefferson building at the Library of Congress, America’s oldest cultural institution, to learn about its symbolic art and architecture and the library’s history, collections, and services for Congress and the nation.
