Annual Fund

Gifts to the Annual Fund power the heart of our mission, helping to underwrite exhibitions, events, and programs. These gifts also support school and community group tours and activities, multi-generational learning experiences, and teacher training and re-certification workshops. Gifts of $250 or more also include membership and its benefits. Any employer matching gifts count toward your total annual contribution.

The 1831 Society: Donors whose gifts total $1,000 or more during the Virginia Historical Society's fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) are recognized as members of the 1831 Society and receive special recognition and event invitations.

For more information or to make a gift, please contact Matt Weber, Manager of Annual Giving and Membership, at 804.342.9658 or mweber@VirginiaHistory.org.

Tribute, Memorial, and "in lieu of" Gifts

Give a gift in honor or memory of friends and family, especially when donations are requested in lieu of gifts. Supporting the Virginia Historical Society connects the past with the future, and is an especially meaningful way to celebrate special occasions and remember loved ones. Your gift will be recognized in Virginia Historical Society publications.

For more information or to make a gift, please contact Matt Weber, Manager of Annual Giving and Membership, at 804.342.9658 or mweber@VirginiaHistory.org.

Through the Seats of Honor program, a limited number of seats in our 500-seat Robins Family Forum are available to be personalized or named in memory or in honor of a loved one. Your gift can even be directed toward your favorite forum programming.

To save your seat, please contact Elaine McFadden, Director, Corporate & Foundation Relations, 804.342.9664 or emcfadden@VirginiaHistory.org.
